Among the organizations using Docmap^® a number of municipalities can be found. In one region a number of municipalities are working together to maintain one single Docmap^® installation.

In this installation they keep different kinds of handbooks and procedures. It is all accessible in any of the collaborating municipalities and the idea is to standardize procedures and spread best practice among themselves. Instead of each municipality individually having to maintain procedures that are pretty much the same in any similar organization, they reach scale advantages.

In addition to common documentation, each municipality also keep procedures and practices that are only valid for that municipality alone. Through validity area functionality in Docmap^®, this documentation can only be accessed by the respective municipality.
