More than 900 vessels now on Docmap
More than 900 vessels worldwide have now a complete remote Docmap® installation onboard replicating on daily basis with the Master database onshore. This implies full compliance between shore and remote installations at all times and wherever the vessel is located.
First generation of the replication software called Docmap Remote (DMR) came already in 2002, based on requirements from Docmap’s first shipping customer TK in Canada. DMR was developed as a standalone application in Microsoft Access as a read-only application synchronizing eForms back to the Master.
The third and current generation is Called Docmap® Link was launched in 2005 and is fully developed in house Docmap. It is a resilient and configurable software tool which includes bi-directional synchronization and is written in .NET.
